Announcements – March 27 2015

Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

This coming Sunday our text for the morning message will come from Exodus 2:1-25. In this chapter we are introduced to Moses, one of the most important Biblical characters of all. The details of his birth, his providential deliverance from Pharaoh’s murderous edict, his eventual upbringing in the home of that very king, and his failed initial attempt to deliver the people of Israel are contained in this section of Scripture. I know that the Lord will richly feed our souls as we navigate these holy waters together this Lord’s Day.

Holy Week Services

Next Sunday, April 5, is Easter. This year for the first time in the history of our Church we will have two special worship services during Holy Week. On Thursday night, April 2, we will have our first Maundy Thursday Service of Worship at 6:00 PM. This service commemorates Christ’s institution of the Lord’s Supper and His ‘new commandment’ to love and serve one another as recorded in John 13 (the word ‘Maundy’ actually means ‘command’ and references John 13:34-35).

Then the next evening, Friday April 3 at 6:00 PM, we will have our first Good Friday Service of Worship. This service will focus upon the eternal significance of the death of Jesus on the cross as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Nursery care will be provided for each service (which will last no more than one hour), and visitors are most welcome to join us.

I love you all and have you in my every prayer!

In His grace,

Mike
