Confession of Faith: The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary: Suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried: He descended into hell: The third day he rose again from the dead: He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty: From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost: The holy catholic church: The communion of saints: The forgiveness of sins: The resurrection of the body: And the life everlasting. Amen.
Song of Response: You Are My King CCLI #2456623
I’m forgiven because you were forsaken, I’m accepted, You were condemned
I’m alive and well, Your Spirit is within me, Because you died and rose again
Amazing love, how can it be that you my king would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it’s true, It’s my joy to honor you
In all I do, I honor you
Scripture Reading and Prayer for the Church: Mr. Fred Fohrell, Ruling Elder
Romans 5
Preaching of the Word: Dr. Michael Calvert, Teaching Elder
Exodus 3:1-8 “The Great ‘I Am’”
Confession of Sin and the Lord’s Prayer:
Assurance of Pardon: Romans 4:24
Communion*:
Song: In Christ Alone CCLI#3350395
In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground, Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All, Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone! who took on flesh, fullness of God in helpless babe.
This gift of love and righteousness, scorned by the ones He came to save:
Till on that cross as Jesus died, the wrath of God was satisfied –
For every sin on Him was laid; here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay, light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious day up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine, bought with the precious blood of Christ.
No guilt in life, no fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand:
Till He returns or calls me home, here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.
Benediction:
