Call to Worship: From 1 Chronicles 16

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!

Prayer of Adoration:

Song: “Spirit of the Living God” – Hymn No. 726 (repeat three times)

Song:He Will Hold Me Fast” – CCLI #7916161

When I fear my faith will fail, Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail, He will hold me fast.
I could never keep my hold through life’s fearful path;
For my love is often cold; He must hold me fast.

CHORUS: He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast;
For my Saviour loves me so, He will hold me fast.

Those He saves are His delight, Christ will hold me fast;
Precious in his holy sight, He will hold me fast.
He’ll not let my soul be lost; His promises shall last;
Bought by Him at such a cost, He will hold me fast.

For my life He bled and died, Christ will hold me fast;
Justice has been satisfied; He will hold me fast.
Raised with Him to endless life, He will hold me fast
‘Til our faith is turned to sight, When He comes at last!

The Old Testament Lesson: From Psalm 148

Gentlemen: Praise the Lord!

Ladies: Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights above.
Gentlemen: Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly hosts.
Ladies: Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.
Gentlemen: Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.
Ladies: Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created, and he established them for ever and ever!
Gentlemen: Kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and women, old men and children;
Ladies: Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted;
All: His splendor is above the earth and the heavens!
