Sermon Preview:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As you remember, last Sunday we began looking at the eight beautiful characteristics of the eternal “Mount Zion” as set forth in Hebrews 12:22-24. We identified four of the eight:
First, it is the “city of the living God” (v. 22).
Second, it is also known as “the heavenly Jerusalem” (v. 22).
Third, it is the place where there are “innumerable angels in festal garments” (v. 23).
Fourth, it is also “the assembly of the first born” (v. 23).
This Lord’s Day, we will consider the remaining four features of our eternal home with Christ, “Mount Zion”:
It is where we are “enrolled” as citizens (v. 23).
It is where “the Judge” resides (v. 23).
It is where the “righteous” are (v. 23).
It is where “Jesus” is (v. 24).
There is no doubt that as we more fully realize what awaits us, what God has promise us, we will be powerfully encouraged and uplifted as we serve Him!
I can’t wait to explore this passage from God’s Word with you!

RUF Snacks:
It’s time to sign up for the April UAH RUF large group meeting. These college students love home-baked cookies if you choose to serve them in this manner. Other suggested items will be on the sign-up sheet. The large group meeting is Monday April 4th. CPC sign-up will be NEXT SUNDAY in the narthex. Judi Fikes will be there to answer any questions. We collect snacks on Sunday April 3rd and deliver them to campus on Monday evening.
Please let Judi know if you might be interested in delivering snacks to campus on Monday evening at 7 PM. The students appreciate it so much!
Please pray for the young men and women who attend the RUF large group meeting. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached and many hearts are turned to the Lord.

Nursery Updates
We welcomed a new staff member last Sunday in the baby nursery on a trial basis. Her name is Ms. Sarah, and she works with Mrs. Irene at the Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ Daycare and is a member at Mayfair Church of Christ. She is just precious! If it works out, she will come on full-time next month. For you baby-mamas, we are thrilled we now have enough help for you to leave your babies in the nursery for the best love and care. We will continue with a member volunteer in there as needed. Please stop by and meet them! And please let Amanda know of any needs you’d like to see met in the baby nursery (toys, beds, etc).

New Database System
Our transition towards our new church database system, Planning Center, has begun. Please see the email from Tim regarding how to get your names in the directory and on an app for your phone. This is how we will “check-in” our children later this spring. We will also use PC for communication and event sign-ups. It is going to be great!
I will be there this Sunday at 9 am and between SS/church to help anyone get their information in the directory and use the app. We hope to use PC to register for VBS, so please go ahead and add your names/information – this is how you will show up for registrations!
Guests/Visitors will also be able to register via a link so no worries if you aren’t a member yet!
VBS Volunteer Meeting
Amanda and Erin hosted our first VBS meeting this past week. I am so excited about the plan for Summer 2022! We are still in need of someone to handle MUSIC. If you are musically inclined, we can work w/ that 🙂 Please contact Amanda.
We’ve got some Friday Fellowships planned as well, so get excited about another wonderful summer at CPC!

Men’s Ministry:
Please join our Friday Men’s Lunchtime Bible Study on Fridays at 11:30 AM.
For ten weeks, we will be studying the life of our Lord as guided by pastor and theologian Dr. Mark Jones in his book Knowing Christ. Dr. Jones takes the readers on a survey of the many aspects of our Lord’s life as revealed to us in the New Testament. We will cover subjects such as Christ’s incarnation, divinity, humanity, compassion, emotions, sinlessness, miracles, temptations, resurrection, exaltation, and many others.
All the men of CPC and guests are invited to join us as we get to know our Savior better!
Fellowship event: Please save the date for a fellowship event on Thursday, April 7th. We will enjoy a fun culinary evening facilitated by Joey McCool. Joey is a member of our church, experienced chef, and operator of a personal catering business. The event will be hosted by the Burgesses at their home in the Hampton Cove area. Further information and sign-up will be forthcoming as we get closer to the date.
