Announcements – June 14, 2024 – Christ Presbyterian Church (PCA)

Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

This coming Sunday, Dr. Matthew Elliott will be delivering our sermon from 2 Samuel 12:15-23 entitled, “David Sought God.”

This is the follow-up message to last week’s sermon on David’s great sin against the Lord (if you did not hear it, take a moment to listen to it or watch it before Sunday). Let me encourage you to familiarize yourself with the events recorded in 2 Samuel 12 as you prepare for Lord’s Day worship. I look forward to hearing the preaching of God’s Word and to leading our worship and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.

Once again let me express our great appreciation for Mrs. Anne Swanner and her team of faithful assistants and helpers who led our recent VBS. It was a wonderful week of learning for our children, one that will bear blessed spiritual fruit for decades to come!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Video Team – The video team is working on a project to show how God has worked through the church in the past 19 years. If you would like to be interviewed, please see Timothy Alhorn.

Women’s Ministry
• Senior Sisters will host the Senior Fellows for coffee and refreshments in the Fellowship room on Thursday, June 20th at 10am. The Sisters and Fellows will have a hymn sing in the Sanctuary immediately after from 10:45-11:30am.
• Senior Sisters exercise class meets Tuesdays at the church, 10:00 to 11:30am.
• Monthly luncheon held the first Thursday of the month at Timbers Edge Clubhouse at 11am.

Men’s Ministry
• Senior Fellows – Our next breakfast will be at 9:00am on Tuesday, July 2nd.

Career Ministry -The summer schedule for the career group will be Mondays at 6:30pm at Big Spring Park. Bring a chair & picnic supper (food trucks are also on site). Feel free to invite friends or other family members.
