MEN
Strong churches are built by having committed men who lead their families and their church. Christ Presbyterian’s Men’s Ministry is for all men to come and grow in their Christian faith. We seek to challenge one another with the word of God, bonding together as servant leaders in our families and communities. We accomplish this through bible studies, men’s retreats, and through other opportunities for service.
The Men’s Thursday Morning Bible Study and Reading Club meets at the church every other Thursday at 6:30 AM.
Men’s Ministry Vision and Five Year
Blueprint for Equipping and EncouragingI. Our Vision
To become men that glorify God and fully enjoy Him forever.II. Our Blueprint Summary
To become men that live to glorify God and fully enjoy Him forever we must earnestly seek to know Him. To know Him requires the thoughtful study of His Word (His will for our lives), its application in our lives and the unity and accountability of our brotherhood. In addition to personal commitment to this end, a five year blueprint has been developed to foster the equipping and encouragement of the men of our church. The foundation of our blueprint is our faithful attendance in corporate worship, being equipped through Bible Study on the Lord’s Day, and our diligent study of God’s Word. In addition to this firm foundation, we will set out to have bi-yearly studies focused on equipping us to grow in the knowledge and emulation of Jesus Christ, foster one-on-one interactions and support, and enjoy rich fellowship opportunities, thereby becoming men that glorify God and fully enjoy Him forever.
III. Iron Sharpening Iron
As men we tend to work alone and are often reluctant to express our needs and weaknesses. We will endeavor to foster a safe and open environment so men can meet with men, one-on-one, to support, encourage, and mentor each other. Men are encouraged to reach out to each other or, if desired, seek assistance from the men’s ministry coordinator or a member of the session to facilitate connections.
IV. Fall Study
This Fall we will be studying “A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions” using Gregory Koukl’s book Tactics. Check the calendar for dates and times of this exciting study.
V. Fellowship
Our blueprint also includes encouraging and fostering various fellowship opportunities for men to get to know each other and strengthen brotherly bonds. Whereas the church leadership will organize certain events, men are encouraged to seek various ways to fellowship and get to know each other better. Please share ideas with the men’s ministry coordinator.VI. Senior Fellows
Senior Fellows is primarily for, but not limited to, men no longer working. The goal is to grow men spiritually, build and strengthen relationships between guys and unify and strengthen the group to support the Church and Community. We meet the third Tuesday of each month. Meetings consist of a devotional and an activity (like golfing, hiking, fishing, target practice, continued learning, etc). We also seek and undertake help projects in support of Church Leadership, Church Members and Community. In short we want to support each other and others in need and enjoy doing it.
All men including visitors are welcome and encouraged to become active members. Most of our outings will be during the week, but we will try to accommodate all. For more information, contact Joe Sims.

WOMEN
The purpose of Christ Presbyterian Church’s Women’s Ministry is to help foster an environment for women of the church to gather and grow. We pray that through bible study and fellowship, our women would gain tools to help them “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, by His power” (Colossians 1:10). We carry this out through quarterly socials, daytime and evening bible studies, an annual retreat, a yearly Christmas dinner, and through various opportunities to serve our congregation. Please check the church calendar for the latest event or announcement as we try and schedule quarterly fellowship dinners and women’s activities.
Bible studies begin the week of September 4th. There is a Mother’s Group that meets each Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the church (nursery provided). The Tuesday evening Women’s Bible study group meets at 6 PM each week at the Church. The Wednesday morning Women’s Bible study group meets at 10:00 AM at the Church each week.

YOUTH
Our youth, sixth grade through high school, are the next generation of Christ followers. The youth ministry at Christ Presbyterian is designed to equip our youth to know what they believe and why they believe it, and to live that truth as they become adults. This is partially accomplished by encouraging the youth to participate in many of the same activities as the adults, so that they might learn the disciplines of the Christian life by observing their elders. We also have age-specific opportunities for fellowship and study. We are blessed that the FCA director for our area, Ken Burnett, is leading a biweekly study for our youth. They meet every other week at the church house. Please check the calendar for meeting times and events. Contact Ken for more information about the Christ Pres Youth. -
CHILDREN
Nursery (Infant to 3 years)
It is our goal at Christ Presbyterian to provide a safe and loving environment for infants through 3 years old in our nursery and pre-school ministry. With God’s help, we hope to plant the seeds of the gospel by loving the little ones who are the next generation to come.
For our preschoolers (2s and 3s), we teach a class during the Sunday school hour. We hope that they will learn and grow, in a safe and loving atmosphere, in order to establish an active faith in God and His Word. We first and foremost want to teach the Gospel in a simple, effective manner; through stories, crafts, and songs. During worship service, they are allowed to play together, with both nursery staff and member volunteers, in a safe and loving environment.
We are always looking for volunteers in the nurseries, and we welcome members to sign-up to serve in this area. Contact Anne Swanner for more information about the Nursery and Preschool Ministry.
Children’s Ministry (Pre-K to 5th Grade)
We desire to equip our children with knowledge of God’s Word that will form a solid foundation for them as they grow into their early teen years. Biblical lessons from the Old and New Testament are presented to display the glory of God, and through this, we pray our children will see their need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is imperative that we equip them with foundational truths about God and help them grow in their knowledge of God’s Word. Through time spent in Sunday school class and worship, we will teach them about God’s redemptive story, their sin, and their need for a Savior.
Sunday school Classes are broken down as follows:
– Pre-K(4s)/Kindergarten
– 1st/2nd Grade
– 3rd, 4th, and 5th GradeAt Christ Presbyterian, children 4 yrs and up attend worship service after the Sunday school hour. We desire for families to worship together and believe it is of utmost importance for them to be in the service.

WORSHIP AND MUSIC
Our worship is primarily acoustic guitar with piano and bass accompaniment. Our instrumentalists are volunteers from the congregation who enjoy using their talents and gifts in facilitating worship for God’s people. We believe in songs that praise the full nature of God, and so we sing both hymns and contemporary music. Many of the hymns and songs we use in worship can be found at the RUF Hymnbook and Sovereign Grace websites. We also use the Trinity Hymnal for many of our hymns and responsive readings, although sometimes the arrangements do not match the music in the hymnal exactly. For questions about the music, please see Scott Schnorrenberg.
