Parents,
The Christ Presbyterian Children’s Sunday school classes are participating in Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse. Each Sunday school class will collect items for two boxes, one for a girl and one for a boy, each appropriate for the ages in the class (either 2-4 years old, 5-9 years old, or 10-14 years old.). The classes will assemble the boxes, pray for the recipient, and include a letter of encouragement.
Each box costs about $7 to deliver so we also need a few dollars donation to make up the $14 cost per class.
Miss Meg and Mrs. Leah’s class please CLICK HERE for the sign-up page. (2 Boxes for ages 2-4)
Mrs. Molly and Todd Cranford’s class please CLICK HERE for the sign-up page. (2 Boxes for ages 5-9)
Mrs. Denise and Jeff Brown’s class please CLICK HERE for the sign-up page. (2 Boxes for ages 10-14)
*When you sign up for a category, please leave “1” in the quantity and specify BOY or GIRL in the comment box. So, for instance, if you want to provide school supplies for the BOY box, leave quantity as “1” to give another family the chance to sign up for school supplies in the GIRL box.
The two collection Sundays are Nov. 8th and Nov. 15. Please bring your items to Sunday school on one of those mornings.
The important thing is to get the children involved in this! Helping pick out the supplies, even contributing some of their own money to send the box around the world to a needy child.
The website, samaritanspurse.org, has loads of information about the annual ministry and specifics about the boxes if you are interested or have questions.
National Collection week is November 16-23 and Denise Brown will be delivering the boxes to a local collection center here in town. If you are interested in packing a box or two as a family, she can deliver all the boxes at one time.
Please email her at niniandjb@gmail.com with any questions or suggestions.
Thank you!
