This month, we held our third annual Parents’ Night Out. The purpose of this event is tri-fold: to give the parents a chance to get out for a few hours alone; to allow the children to learn, play, and fellowship in the name of Christ; and to allow our volunteers a chance to serve in this ministry.
We had close to 25 children and 10 volunteers. The kids went through a superhero training course outside (obstacle course), did sidewalk chalk, played with silly string, made masks for dress-up, had a pizza dinner, and ended the night with a screening of The Incredibles. Obviously, the theme of the night was superheroes – all pointing the children to our true superhero: Jesus Christ. It was also an amazing opportunity to watch our older children learn to serve the younger ones.
Meg did a fabulous job coordinating this event, and we are so thankful to have a safe, fun fellowship for our precious children! Thank you to all who participated!
