Old Testament Lesson: Psalm 16

Song: O Worship The King – Hymn 2 v.1,4-5

Song: Lord Most High – CCLI #2037688

From the ends of the earth, from the depths of the sea
From the heights of the heavens, your name be praised
From the hearts of the weak, from the shouts of the strong
From the lips of all people, this song we raise, Lord

CHORUS: Throughout the endless ages
You will be crowned with praises, Lord most high
Exalted in every nation, sovereign of all creation
Lord most high, be magnified

New Testament Lesson: 1 Peter 1:3-9

Confession of Sin: From Psalm 51

Pastor: Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love.
People: According to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.
Pastor: Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
People: For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.
Pastor: Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight;
People: Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Pastor: Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.
All: Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Assurance of Pardon: Acts 2:38-39

Pastor: At the last day those who are alive shall not die but shall be changed. All the dead shall be raised up with their selfsame bodies, and no other (although with different qualities), which shall be united again with their souls forever.
People: By the power of Christ the bodies of the unjust shall be raised to dishonor. The bodies of the just shall be raised to honor by his Spirit and brought into conformity with Christ’s own glorious body.
