Call to Worship: 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
Prayer of Adoration:
Song: Praise to the Lord, the Almighty – Hymn 53 v.1-3,5
1 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to his temple draw near,
join me in glad adoration.
2 Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth,
shelters thee under his wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen how thy desires e’er have been
granted in what he ordaineth?
3 Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee!
Surely his goodness and mercy here daily attend thee;
ponder anew what the Almighty will do,
if with his love he befriend thee.
5 Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him!
Let the amen sound from his people again;
gladly fore’er we adore him.
The Old Testament Lesson: Psalm 8
Confession of Faith: The Westminster Confession of Faith, 1.10
The supreme judge by whom all controversies of religion are to be settled and all decrees of councils, opinions of ancient writers, doctrines of men, and claims to private revelations are to be examined, can be only the Holy Spirit speaking in the Scripture. With His decision we are to be satisfied.
The New Testament Lesson: Matthew 28:16-20
Confession of Sin:
Pastor: Lord God Almighty, how can I stand before You with my numberless and aggravated offenses?
People: I have often loved darkness, observed lying vanities, forsaken Your given mercies, trampled under foot Your Beloved Son, mocked Your providences, flattered You with my lips, and broken Your covenant.
Pastor: It is of Your compassion that I am not consumed. Lead me to repentance and save me from despair.
People: Let me come to You renouncing and condemning myself, but hoping in the grace that flows even to the chief of sinners.
Assurance of Pardon: Exodus 15:13
“You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed; you have guided them by your strength to your holy abode.”

Song: Precious Lamb of God (There is a Redeemer) – CCLI # 11483
There is a Redeemer, Jesus, God’s own Son
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One
CHORUS: Thank You oh my Father, For giving us Your Son
And leaving Your Spirit ‘til The work on earth is done
Jesus, my Redeemer, name above all names
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, O for sinners slain
When I stand in Glory, I will see His face
There I’ll serve my King forever, In that holy place
The Benediction: Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Amen!
