This coming Sunday our sermon text will be Hebrews 4:16. This final verse of the fourth chapter brings the subject of Christ’s high priestly ministry to a most significant and encouraging summit. Here we find our Father’s invitation to “ approach” His holy “ throne” with “ confidence,” knowing that, as we do, we shall always “ receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

Perhaps there is no other verse in all of Scripture that supplies us with such a profound summons to seek our Father’s face in prayer as this one inspired passage! And I can’t wait to discover all that the Lord has for us as we hear the proclamation of His Word!
